“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Adam and the amazing gardening team at One Fylde, for the outstanding work they did for me recently.
I own a rental property in Poulton-le-Fylde, it’s a lock up business with a flat above and a small area at the rear of the property that had been neglected and had become horribly overgrown with brambles, ivy and weeds. Adam put me in touch with Dave and Jane who run One Fylde’s gardening service, which offers work experience for people under the charity’s care, giving them an opportunity to learn new skills.
Dave and Jane came to survey the plot and discuss what they were able to offer and they gave me an incredible price for the work. I subsequently added extras that they were happy to undertake, again for a very reasonable cost. They came back a couple of weeks later with a minibus full of enthusiastic individuals and between them, performed miracles on what can only be described as a jungle. In fact they even cleared part of the communal space giving better access to my property, which was unexpected. I arrived just as they had finished loading their trailer (yes, they even took all the rubbish away). I was able to meet some of the team and thank them personally.
I cannot praise them highly enough, their work was excellent, performed promptly and at an excellent price. The money goes to the charity to help them provide person-centred support, accommodation, and exciting activities for adults and young people with learning disabilities in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. So not only do I now have an excellent space that both my tenants can use, I also have the benefit of knowing that I’m supporting a great cause.”
