Reward and Recognition

Valuing the work we do – valuing each other

The One Fylde Reward and Recognition Scheme is now in its second year.

Our Reward and Recognition scheme has been extended! Thanks to some very useful input from our Employee Voice team – and staff participation in a survey to decide what staff wanted from the scheme – we now have 3 categories for nominations each month.

Our 3 new categories include one exclusively for Support Workers. This recognizes that Support Workers are our largest staff group – and also at the heart of the work of the charity. Winners in this category receive a gift card to the value of £30.

We have introduced a category for teams since many nominators felt that often a whole team deserved recognition, particularly in situations where ‘teamwork’ had been key to improving the lives of the People we Support! Winning teams are awarded a £50 gift card.

The final category is for staff other than support workers; that’s for Area Managers, Team Leaders and Office staff. Winners in this category receive a £30 gift card.

In our most recent awards, our Gardening Team won the team category, particularly in recognition of their tireless work helping to get our new offices ready for staff to move in. They have worked extensively on the grounds of Libra House. They have also been praised for their willingness and enthusiasm – and for always completing tasks to the highest standards. Well done, the Gardening Team!

“Supported individuals don’t live in our workplace: we work in their home. I like to think the people we support can be comfortable in my presence and can feel like I’m not just their Support Worker.”
